NAIDU WINNER IN SEEMANDHRA ELECTIONS

Elections 2014: Seemandhra Results

The results of Assembly Elections in AP are declared. The TDP BJP alliance got clear majority. It means that the people of Seemandhra are expecting that the alliance would help build up the new state.

Vijayawada: The much awaited results of 2014 assembly elections in Seemandhra are declared. The people voted for TDP (102 seats) & BJP (4 seats). This means a total of 106 seats in assembly of 175 MLAs. Similarly, people gave 17 MP seats (BJP 15 +BJP 2) against total of 25 MP seats from this region.

The results are clear verdict from the people expecting that the new government is required to attend to the development of this states (starting from scratch).

The various pre poll surveys indicated clean sweep by YSRCP in this region. The majority (as per the surveys) came down with passage of time. There was a time when the TDP & YSRCP are expected to fight the elections with equal force.

The results of local polls that were declared during the general elections process gave clear indications about the likely outcome of the general elections. At the end of the results it came very clear that the peoples’ attention could not be diverted by competitors like YSRCP. These competitors have played various cheap tricks to make the TDP less popular in the eyes of the voters.

The various activities like distribution of cash, jewelry, liquor and other valuables could not divert the attention of the voters of this region. These voters strongly believed that the YSRCP would not be in a position to fulfill the requirements of the people of this region. They decided to vote for TDP alliance who promised to work for development.

The honorary chair person YS Vijayamma (mother of YS Jagan) could not win from the Visakhpatnam MP seat. The voters of this constituency believed that more than Vijayamma the BJP candidate Haribabu would be able to deliver better for their welfare and hence they voted for BJP.

The voters also decided to remove congress from this state and as a result the congress did not open its account either in assembly or Lok Sabha elections. The people made their anger very clear to the congress which went ahead with AP split without any scientific basis.

Today’s results are clear indication about the requirements of people of Seemandhra and what the new government (under Naidu) is supposed to do for the welfare of the people.
