Tata Motors is likely to launch three new variants of the ‘cheapest car’, Nano this year and Indian buyers are going to get what they desired. As per the information, Tata is going to launch the first ever diesel variant of Nano this year and most probably, it could get unveiled at the upcoming Delhi Auto Expo 2014. The other two variants that are going to be launched are ‘Nano Twist’ and ‘Nano Plus’.

Being termed as ‘The Cheapest Car’ in the world, Nano has failed to entertain the Indian buyers as much as it was expected prior to the launch. Most of the market experts have described the image ‘Cheapest car’ has ruined the buyer’s interest and thus Tata has added a wide range of premium features to the model and made it a perfect feature rich hatchback. As per the information, Tata has managed to sell around 20 thousand units of Nano in the country which is not at all a considerable figure.

‘Nano Diesel’ would be one of the most significant variants of the model and Tata could expect the sale volume to touch new heights. The vehicle comes powered with a 800 CC two cylinder diesel engine that is capable of delivering around 40 – 45 bhp of power at the peak. Tata has equipped the engine with Garett turbo charger and common rail direct injection system developed by Bosch. Tata claims that Nano Diesel is capable of delivering a massive 35 kmpl of mileage on a whole which has not been ever imagined so far.

Nano Twist is another amazing model from Tata Motors which will also going to make its debut at Delhi Auto Expo in the month of February this year. It comes with electric power steering which is the major change made and Tata is very confident that Twist could drag the attention of majority of Urban commuters. Nano Plus is going to the top end variant of the Nano series and it is also the most powerful variant of Nano. Plus comes powered with a 1.0 litre 3 cylinder engine that will deliver higher power outputs relatively than other variants.

Plus will feature LED head lamps and fog lamps additionally and it is also likely to get disc brakes for all four wheels.
