RC Tayal is the new Director General of National Security Guard

9.6.2015: RC Tayal is appointed as the Director General of National Security Guard.  He is appointed in place of JN Choudhury, who retired on 31st May.  Tayal was the special director general in paramilitary central reserved police force.  He is an IPS officer belonging to Assam-Meghalaya cadre 1980 batch. National Security Guard operates under Union Ministry of Home Affairs. They are known as black cats due to their black helmets and black drill cotton coveralls.

2015 Canada Grand Prix of Formula 1 won by Lewis Hamilton

09.06.2015: Mercedes racing driver Lewis Hamilton of Britain won the Formula 1 Canada Grand Prix title 2015.  He won the title in the final race held in Canada.  He defeated Nico Rosberg of Germany who finished second.  In the third position was Sebastian Vettel who was the Ferrari Driver.

Kento Momota won Indonesia Open Badminton Title

09.06.2015: Kento Momota won the men’s Indonesia Open Badminton Title held at Jakarta, Indonesia.  The women’s singles title was won by Ratchanok who defeated Yui Hashimoto of Japan.

Manchester United Football Club is the Most Valuable Brand in the World

09.06.2015: the Manchester United Football Club has become the most valuable brand in the world with 1.2 billion US dollars.  This is the first club to pass the mark.  Recent deals of the club which includes UK broadcast deal driven up the brand value.

16th International Indian Film Academy Awards 2015 Presented

09.06.2015: Sixteenth international Indian film academy awards 2015 were presented in Malaysia.  Best actress award was won by Kangana Ranaut for her performance in the movie Queen.  Riteish Deshmukh is the best supporting actor, Tabu is the best supporting actress.  Subhash Ghai was given the award for outstanding achievement in International cinema. Tiger Shroff won the male star debut of the year and Kriti Sanon is given the female best debutant of the year award.  Varun Dhawan is chosen the best comedian.  Queen is selected as the best film, Rajkumar Hirani is the best director for PK and Shahid Kapoor is the best actor.
