Jioji Konrote elected the new President of Fiji

12.10.2015: jioji Konrote is elected the new president of Fiji.  He is a retired major general.  He joined the military forces in 1966.  As per the constitution of Fiji, a candidate each is nominated by the prime minister and opposition leader. The presidential candidates are then announced in parliament which decides the president with majority vote.

Spaniard Garbine Muguruza is the Winner of China Open Women’s Single Title

12.10.2015: Garbine Muguruza won the women’s single title at China Open. She belongs to Spain. The final was played between Garbine and Timea Bacsinszky or Switzerland.  Garbine was the title winner and with this she achieved the ranking of world no. 4.  She is now qualified to play the final of Wimbledon Championships 2015.

Novak Djokovic Won China Open 2015 men’s Singles Title

12.10.2015: Novak Djokovic retained the men’s singles title in China Open. This is the fourth consecutive win for him in this tournament since 2012.  He defeated Rafael Nadal of Spain.  Djkovic is going strong in this season. He own eight titles in this season.  These include Indian Wells Masters, Rolex Master, China Open, Miami Open and Italian Open.

India won Hockey Series against New Zealand

12.10.2015: India is playing four matches hockey test series against New Zealand. The series is won by India. India lost the first match of the series and then came back strongly to win the series.

Lewis Hamilton won the Formula 1 Russian Grand Prix 2015 Title

12.10.2015:  Formula 1 Russian Grand Prix title 2015 is won the Lewis Hamilton. He is the Mercedes racing driver of Britain.  In the second position was Sebastian Vettel, the Ferrari Driver from Germany and in the third position was Sergio Perez of Mexico.  This is the ninth title for Hamilton in this season. Other titles he won include Japan, China, Australia, the UK, Italy, Canada and Belgium.

 Indo Swiss Pair Sania and martin Win 8th Title in this Season

11.10.2015: Sania Mirza and Marina Hingis won China Tennis Open 2015 women’s doubles title. They defeated Chinese Taipean pair Hao Ching Chan and Yung Jan Chan.
