Sri Lanka never shows mercy on fresh buds. Ha ha ha.. off course that is its way of game. Sri Lanka recorded a huge win today at Hobart in World Cup 2015. With this win, Sri Lanka finished at third position in Pool A. New Zealand & Australia are ahead of Sri Lanka. Sangakkara and Dilshan stealed the show with a ton each. Massive partnership of 195 runs gave superb entertainment to audience. Scotland tried fight with bat but could not succeed. Sangakkara turned out to be the only ODI batsman with four consecutive centuries.

Hobart: Sri Lanka got the chance to bite the cake first. Off course the mighty lion blew big. Dilshan and Sangakkara played extraordinary innings contributing to the partnership of 198 runs for first wicket. Both made classic centuries. Dilshan hit 104 runs in 99 balls with 10 fours and 1 six. Sangakkara hit 124 runs in 95 balls with 13 fours and 4 sixes. With massive powerful batting, Sri Lanka directed the match to big score. Mathews too shined well with half century in middle order. Sri Lanka set a big target of 364 runs in 50 overs for Scotland. No Scotland bowler could control Sri Lankan batsmen.

In second innings, Scotland batsmen failed in the beginning itself. In middle order Mommsen and Coleman fought with half centuries each. But off course, maximum damage has already been done to Scotland and it’s impossible to restore it. Scotland was packed up for 215 runs in 43.1 overs. Kulasekara and Chameera took 3 wickets each while Malinga took 2 wickets. Sri Lanka win by 148 runs. Century hero Sangakkara got Man of the Match award.

Irrespective of Sri Lankan team’s progress in World cup, Sangakkara has been showing warrior spirit with marvellous performance in every match. With a ton today, he became the first man in ODI history to score centuries in four consecutive innings and the first to make four hundreds in one World Cup tournament alone. Seniors are expressing their opinon that Sanga can continue in team for few more months.
