25.3.2015: Noted Hindi poet Gopaldas Neeraj received first National Kavi Pradeep Samman award. The receiver of the award will get a cash price of Rs. 2 lakhs.

Ruth Porat is the new Chief Financial Officer of Google Inc

25.3.2015: Ruth Porat is appointed as Chief Financial Officer of Google Inc. She is succeeding Patrick Pichette who retired on March 10th. Currently Ruth is working as Chief Financial Officer at Morgan Stanley. She joined Morgan Stanley in 1987 and worked at different positions.

Vikranth Singh Oberoi is New MD of EIH Limited

25.3.2015: Vikranth Singh Oberoi is appointed as MD of EIH Limited. EIH limited runs Oberoi hotels. Vikranth Singh will succeed Shib Sanker Muherji who resigned from this job. Vikram is current the joint MD and COO. He joined EIH in 1993.

IRCTC launched RuPay Debit Card Service

25.3.2015: Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation launched RuPay debit card in collaboration with Union Bank of India. These cards can be used to shop, pay service bills and book tickets.

Atal Bihari to Receive Bharat Ratna on March 27

25.3.2015: Atal Bihari Vajpayee will be conferred Bharat Ratna on March 27. This was announced by Rashtrapati Bhavan, Prime Minister Modi will be among those to attend the event. Bharat Ratna was announced to Madan Mohan Malavya posthumously. It will be handed over to the family members of Madan Mohan Malavya in the same event.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit France, Canada and Germany

25.3.2015: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to visit France, Germany and Canada next month expecting to focus on attracting investments. He will be in France from 9th to 12th April, in Germany from 12th to 14th April and Canada from 14th to 16th April.

India and Qatar Signed Six Agreements

25.3.2015: India Signed Six Agreements with Qatar to increase Commercial and economic exchanges. These agreements include transfer of sentenced persons, MoU for co-operation in the field of information and communication technology, Ministry of earth sciences and Qatar Meteorological department for scientific and technical cooperation and MoU for cooperation in the field of Radio and Television.
