Shankar To Do Sequel for Robo With Ajith

The sensational director Shankar is not able to prove his luck with his latest visual wonder ‘I’. To erase the bad memories of ‘I’ Shankar is planning sequel for Robo.

Chennai: Is Robo2 on cards? The answer seems to be ‘yes’ if the reports from Chennai are to be believed.

The sensational director Shankar is known for his mega hits like Gentleman, Indian, Jeans, Robo etc but his latest movie ‘I’ brought him some bad name. The movie having Vikram and Amy Jackson in the lead roles got the highest expectations before the release. Having failed to satisfy the high expectations, the movie became a flop for all the stakeholders.

Now Shankar is committed to erase his failure for his latest movie. He is reported to be seriously working for sequel for his super hit movie ‘Robo’.

The original movie ‘Yendhiran’ had super star Rajnikant and Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai playing the lead roles. The movie appeared in many regional languages and Hindi as well and could get success talk in all the languages.

It seems Shankar wants to get one more hit by making sequel to Robo. The movie had high technical values and Rajni played dual role whereas beautiful Aishwarya Rai added the required glamour dosage that contributed to the success of the movie.

Shankar’s plans to do sequel for Robo with Rajnikant could not pass through as Rajni rejected the role citing his health conditions. Rajni, as it is, is not happy these days (in terms of his movie career), as his successive movies Kochadayyan & Lingaa that released with high expectations could not get the required support at the box office. On the other hand, Aishwarya has been away from movie world for almost 4-5 years and is now trying to re-enter the movie world. It is a different matter that she got prestigious movies like Jazbaa as her upcoming movies.

Shankar switched his focus on Ajith (another Tamil star who is flying high these days with successive hits). His recent hits include Billa & its sequel, Sridevi’s come back movie English Vinglish (cameo appearance), Aarambam, Veeram, Yennai Arindhaal. Ajith is known for his wide support (from Tamil mass).

Shankar’s plans to do sequel for Robo with Ajith & Aishwarya in the lead roles will start materializing once the first look of the movie will release on Valentines’ Daythis year.
