Today’s Tollywood Releases: Gaddam Gang Tollywood Movie Review

Rajasekhar was known as angry young man and had a huge fan following few years ago. He is now and then trying to cash on his following and releasing movies. His latest movie to hit the silver screen is Gaddam Gang. This is a remake of Tamil hit movie Soodhu kavvum. The movie introduced a new director Santosh to the Telugu Film industry.

Vijayawada: All films that are super hits in Tamil need not become hits in Telugu. When someone is making a remake, one has to be very careful about nativity and taking failing which the audience will not be able to connect with the characters of the film.

Gaddam Gang

Rajasekhar is a kidnapper who follows special rules for kidnapping people. Satyam Rajesh and Achu also assist him in kidnaps. The gang is offered big amount to kidnap the son of Senior Naresh, finance minister. The gang kidnaps him and the story takes unexpected turns from here. The gang faces many problems and how they come of them forms the rest of the story.

Rajasekhar does not suit to the character. He looks aged and the character shows no heroism which will disappoint his fans. Sheena plays the female lead character in the movie and she has nothing to do in the film except to show her flesh. Other important actors are Giribabu, Raghubabu, Nagababu and Seetha. Mumaith Khan was seen in an item song.

Special attraction of the movie is the new music director Achu. Dubbing is not impressive. Coming to direction, Santhosh failed to make the Telugu audience connect to the movie. He lifted most of the scenes from Tamil and even the dialogues are same. There are not many Telugu comedians and thus comedy also did not worked out. Cinematography is decent. Edward showed the locations beautifully. Editing is very slow. Music is good but placement of songs is not correct. Back ground music is one of the minus points of the movie.

Plus points of the movie are the story and the cinematography. There are many minus points including the heroine and director. The story narration is very slow. There is no Telugu nativity and entertainment is missing in the movie. At the end of the movie, audience will feel that the movie should have been dubbed instead of remade. Finally this film is only for Rajasekhar fans.
