Lingaa: Rajnikant’s New Movie
After disaster Kochadayyan Rajni is busy with his Lingaa and the movie is getting high expectations from his fans and audience as well.
Chennai: Rajnikant is the undisputed super star of Tamil movies. He acted in nearly 170 movies in south languages (Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil & Telugu) and Hindi as well. Most of his films became super hits due to his different style of action famously known as ‘Rajni Style’.
His recent hit films include Padiyappa (Narasimha in Telugu), Baba, Shivaji, Enthiran (Robo in Telugu). Rajni’s daughter Soundarya had the opportunity to direct him in his latest movie Kochadayyan. The movie took longer period for production and spent more number in labs before the release but it was quick to complete screening. There were many causes reported for the disastrous performance of the movie Kochadayyan.
Without waiting for the release or release of Kochadayyan, Rajni started shooting Lignaa. Famous director KS Ravi Kumar is directing Rajni in this new movie. There are several reports appearing about the movie that Rajni is playing dual roles and one of the roles is indicative of the engineer connected with Periyar Dam. The age old dispute between the stats of Tamilnadu & Kerala is because of this dam. Indirectly or unknowingly Ravikumar is touching this sensitive issue in his Lingaa.
Then there were reports about the illness of the hero Rajni on the location of the movie. The director clarified that Rajni is in full health and is expected to continue shooting of the movie.
LIngaa is having beauty queen Anushka Shetty from south as well as Sonakshi Sinha from Bollywood opposite Rajni. Presence of these beautiful stars ensure ample glamour for the movie. Technically superior values are added with music by AR Rehman. Director Ravikumar had famous films like Sneham Kosam (with Chiranjeevi & Vijay Kumar), Padiyappa (Rajni, Soundarya & Ramyakrishna), Thenali, Panchatantiram & Dasavataram (with Kamal). The producer Rockline Venkatesh completed many remakes from various south lanauges.
The first look of the movie Lingaa was released on Vinayaka Chavithi and the netizens and Rajni fans are enjoying the same. The first look recorded 5 million hits on the first day of its release. This statistics is clear indication about the hype that the LIngaa is creating.
Lingaa is scheduled to release on Rajni’s birthday i.e., 12th December 2014.
