Pakistan is the most unstable team in cricket world. Nobody can expect how it performs on any particular day. It can beat the strongest teams or can lose to a small team. But when it comes to World Cup the team fights with all its powers. Pakistan won its first world up on Australia ground and is ready to test their luck in World Cup 2015 on the same ground.

Pakistan is participating in World Cup tourney since the first world cup in 1975. It won the title for the first time in 1992 under the captaincy of Imran Khan. In 1999 the team was the runner up. In 2011 world cup it reached the semis. Misba team now wants to repeat the 1992 performance. They have to face the defending champions India in their very first match. Pakistan wants to create history by winning this match.

Pakistan has no record of defeating India in world cup matches. The team has to fight hard for quarters berth in Group B with India and South Africa. Bowling is the main strength of Pakistan. Sohail Khan, Ali, Adil and Irfan will lead the pace bowling. Seven feet tall pacer irfan and spinner Afridi are the main strengths of the team.

Star spinner Saeed Ajmal is not in the team which is a loss for Pakistan team. He is facing ICC ban for his bowling action. There are no pacers in the team who can claim wickets. Fielding of Pakistan is looking weak. Best performance of the team in World cup till now is winning the title in 1992 and reaching finals in 1999. They also reached the semifinals in 1979, 1983, 1987 and 2011 tourneys. Worst performance of the team was in 1975, 2003 and 2007 when the team was out of the tourney in group stages itself.

In World Cup 2015, it is expected that the team will reach quarter finals stage easily. In recent times, Pakistan played eleven one days matches and won only three.
