Honda launched Activa 3G for Rs. 48852 – Tackles Hero maestro, Suzuki Access and TVS Jupiter
The Japanese automotive giant Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt ltd. has launched the 3rd gen edition of the most reputed scooter in the Indian market, the Activa. The scooter comes with a bunch of cosmetic changes and all the other aspects of the model are as same as that of the outgoing edition. Activa 3G is offered in some new colour options and it has been priced for Rs. 48852 only.
Honda has introduced the Activa scooter in the Indian market in 2001 and the current launch is the third gen edition of the same. The new edition of the Activa scooter comes with exclusive air vents and decals on the engine cover under the seat. The front apron also gets fine finishing along with a new set of indicator lamps on both the sides. The front wheel gets fitted with the same connected trailing suspension system whereas the rear wheel gets mated to twin shock absorbers. The head light of the scooter has been replaced with a new one and the tail light has also been revised. The manufacturer has continued offering some of the standard features seen on the previous edition such as maintenance free battery, key lock shutter and tube less tyres etc.
Activa 3G comes powered with the same 109.2 CC air cooled engine that is capable of generating around 8 bhp power at the peak along with 8.74 Nm of torque. Engine comes accompanied with a V matic automatic transmission gear box by default. The manufacturer is offering the scooter in four new colour trims and they are Black, Geny Grey Metallic, Imperial Red Metallic and Maple Brown Metallic respectively. Combi Brake System is also offered with the new edition Activa which helps for better handling in the Indian driving conditions. Activa 3G is expected to keep on overtaking rival models such as Hero maestro, Suzuki Access and TVS Jupiter. Honda is offering Activa 3G for a starting price of Rs. 48852 only.
