TVS Jupiter Special Edition Scooter Launched – Takes on Honda Activa, Hero maestro and Mahindra Gusto

TVS has launched a special edition variant of the Jupiter commuter scooter in the Indian market quietly without any buzz. Jupiter has performed very well in the Indian market and there is no hesitation in saying that it has made the things tougher for rival manufacturers. It has been one year since Jupiter entered India and in order to celebrate the moment with a bang, TVS has brought forward the Special Edition Jupiter Scooter.

Mr. K N Radhakrishnan, the President and Chief Executive Officer for TVS Motor Company has stated in connection with the launch of Special Edition Jupiter “TVS Jupiter has received an overwhelming response from customers. Our focus has been to constantly provide freshness to our products and maximize customer delight and with TVS Jupiter increasingly becoming a preferred choice in its category, we felt that it would be fitting to celebrate with a special edition TVS Jupiter”. As per the information, TVS has sold more than 3 lakh units of the Jupiter Scooter in India since its debut.

TVS is going to offer the Special Edition Jupiter in one paint shade only and it is going to be Stallion Brown Metallic. Beige panels are also on offer along with special edition badges on the front apron. The scooter is also going to get ‘Dura Cool’ seat which has never been seen before in the Indian market. The manufacturer has informed that the Dura Cool seat is capable of minimizing the temperature of seat when exposed to sunlight for longer periods. It is also informed that the difference in temperature among seat of any other scooter and the respective Dura cool seat would be around 10 degrees.

The Special Edition Jupiter is reported to be available for sale all over India already but the price of the scooter is still unknown. However, we can expect the new Jupiter to be capable of making things tougher for rival models such as Honda Activa, Hero maestro and Mahindra Gusto.
