TVS Scooty Zest launch on 20th – Tackles Honda Activa, Dio, Hero Pleasure, Suzuki Let’s and Yamaha Ray - Z

TVS is doing well in the Scooter segment of the Indian two wheeler market currently with two significant breeds Jupiter and Wego respectively. The native Indian giant has brought forward a 110 CC scooter at the Delhi Auto Expo 2014 which was held in the month of February this year. As per the information, the brand new TVS ‘Scooty Zest’ is going to be launched officially on 20th of this month.

The demand for automatic scooters has been increasing rapidly from the past few years and almost all the leading automotive giants in the country are concentrating on this segment currently. The addition of the ‘Scooty Zest’ scooter can give TVS a breakthrough this year right ahead as it is very trendy and elegant than most of the other scooter models in the market. The seating arrangement of the scooter is larger and the dual toned front apron adds to the elegance of the vehicle. The vehicle comes with both electric start and kick start features along with a powerful head light.

Rear suspension is taken care by mono shock whereas the front wheel gets telescopic forks. LED tail lamps on the rear is also beautiful along with the black coloured TVS logo. Power comes from a 110 CC CVTi engine that is capable of generating around 7.88 bhp power at the peak along with 8 Nm of torque. Engine comes mated with a V – Matic CVT transmission gear box and the scooter assures around 62 kmpl mileage on an average. TVS is likely to place the brand new scooter in between Wego and Jupiter most probably and it is expected to be priced around just Rs. 47500 in India. However, the new Scooty Zest must be capable of tackling rival models such as Honda Activa series, Hero Pleasure, Suzuki Let’s, Honda Dio and Yamaha Ray – Z.
