Chennai: Tamanna is a famous artiste in south. She originally started her movie career through Hindi movie Chand Sa Roshan Chehra and after initial average movies in Hindi, Telugu & Tamil Tamanna came to limelight with grand success of her movie Happy Days. This movie by Sekhar Kammula brought many new faces to industry like Varun Sandesh, Nikhil etc. The movie became so popular that Tamanna also started getting offers in many movies in south.
Tamanna preferred Tamil over Telugu films and she acted in many Tamil movies with almost all the stars in the Tamil industry. Her movie with Karti Paiyaa has been one of the super hits of her career. This movie was dubbed into Telugu (Aawara) and remade into Bengali as Janeman and Kannada as Ajith.
Tamanna rose to fame (as commercial heroine) with her glamour and rain song in the movie Paiyaa with Karthi and she started attracting many movie makers and audience as well. Subsequently she completed many movies in regional languages like Telugu (100% love with Naga Chaitanya, Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam with Siddhartha, Badrinath with Allu Arjun, Oosaravelli wtih Jr. NTR, Rachha with Ramcharan Teja, Endukanta Premanta with Ram, Cameraman Gangato Rambau with Pawan Kalyan). Tollywood has few heroines to act with all the leading male leads and Tamanna is one such actresss.
After enjoying success in south, she started her journey into Bollywood. After her initial appearance in Chand Sa Roshan Chehra (way back in 2005), she appeared in Himmatwala. This remake has Ajay Devgan in the lead role. The movie received flop talk at the box office.
Her subsequent attempt through Humshakals has initial mixed to positive response. The movie had many sensational news about bikini appearance by the female leads (Tamanna, Bipasha Basu & Esha Gupta). After many sensational news, the movie released to receive average talk.
Tamanna is going to try & prove her luck and talent in Bollywood with Entertainment with Akshay Kumar. This movie is releasing on 8th August 2014 and is expected to turn her luck and establish her as a successful heroine in Bollywood as well.
