DSK Hyosung Aquila 250 VS TVS Draken 250 Concept - Who’s the show stealer at Auto Expo 2014?

All the leading automotive giants are rocking this year’s Auto Expo with fresh and trendy concepts and the competition to steal the show is absolutely tight. TVS has brought forward the brand new Draken 250CC performance bike at the expo while the premium two wheeler maker DSK Hyosung has launched new ‘Aquila 250’ at the show. Both these models have won the hearts of the visitors and now the question is, Which is the show stealer among these two?

DSK Hyosung has brought forward an absolute piece of elegance and power at the show in the form of new Aquila. The two toned colour of the vehicle makes it look amazing and the broad seat and classic silencer and other shapes reflect the classiness of the vehicle. Power comes from an oil cooled 249CC four stroke engine of DOHC 750 V Twin category with 8 valves. The engine is capable of generating around 26.2 bhp at the peak along with 21.3 Nm of torque and it comes mated to a 5 speed constant mesh gear box.

Aquila 250 has a massive 1515 mm wheel base and hydraulic dual shock absorber at the rear makes the ride very comfortable. The front wheel gets telescopic suspension and hydraulic disk brakes as standard whereas the rear wheel comes with mechanical drum brakes. The manufacturer is offering the brand new Aquila 250 for a starting price of Rs. 2.69 lakhs only.

TVS Draken is an entirely different concept when compared with the DSK’s Aquila 250. Draken 250 is inspired from Apache RTR and it sports a fresh look for sure. The model comes with full LED headlamp along with day time running lights which is absolutely amazing. The rear end comes with a v shaped tail lamps and indicator lamps made in a single piece. The exclusive design of the model is the significant factor which drags our attention towards the model. Some other significant features of the model includes ABS, shorter tail, offset mono shock suspension, active matrix digital speedometer and last but the least the reversed free flow exhaust unit mounted under the engine.

The manufacturer has targeted the younger side of the country with the launch of the new Draken 250. There is no information about the pricing details and also about when it goes for production so far.
