Verdanchi T5 Roadster launched for Rs. 12 lakhs – Moto Morini’s Granpasso and Scrambler 1200 on sale for Rs. 26 lakhs

The Mumbai based Vardenchi Motor Cycles has launched a classy model at the Auto Expo 2014 at Greater Noida. The brand is well known for retro styled two wheelers of premium quality in the country and the manufacturer is hoping to take the sale volume to the peak with the launch of the brand new Ts Roadster. The manufacturer has also showcased two models of Moto Morini, an Italian premium two wheeler maker, at its stands this year at the show.

Moto Morini has joined hands with the Mumbai based customized premium bike maker Vardenchi last year. Two 1200 CC models of Moto Morini namely Granpasso and Scrambler have been displayed at the event along with the masculine T5 Roadster. The outer body of the T5 Roadster looks solid in the double toned combination of Orange and White paints. Apart from the retro styled design pattern of the tank and other parts, Verdanchi has offered a 19 inch spoke wheel in the front and a 17 inch spoke wheel in the rear.

All the body parts of the T5 Roadster have been manufactured in Mumbai at Verdanchi’s plant but the engine has been imported from its Italian alliance, Moto Morini. Power comes from the respective 1187 CC V Twin engine imported from Italy which is capable of generating around 120 bhp at the peak very comfortably. The model comes with dual exhaust pipes which adds to the aggressiveness of the bike. Verdanchi has used ohlins shock absorber at the rear and Marzocchi upside down forks in the front. The manufacturer has also informed that the production version of the model would get customized alloy wheels instead of the spoke wheels seen currently.

Verdanchi Motors will export the T5 premium roadster to the European market where it will be sold at all the authorized dealership show rooms of Moto Morini. The model is being offered in the Indian market for Rs. 12 lakhs only. Moto Morini’s Granpasso and Scrambler will also be available for sale in India along with T5 roadster at Verdanchi’s dealership show rooms. Both these bikes will be imported into the country as CBUs and will be priced around 25 – 26 lakhs in India.
