Bajaj Auto is working hard to strengthen its two wheeler portfolio in the Indian market. Discover and Pulsar are hot favourites in the Indian two wheeler market since their debut. Bajaj has unveiled a number of variants of both these model over time. The Discover family seems complete with the addition of 100T, 100M, 1004G, 125T, and the 125ST. The recently unveiled Pulsar 200 NS stood tall in the market giving a tough fight for rival models. In order to boost sale volume of performance bikes segment, Bajaj has started development of the Pulsar 200 SS (Super Sport). A test mule of the upcoming 200 SS has been spotted recently.

We may not expect the engine to get replaced but there might be a variation in the power output when compared with 200 NS. The former has been powered with a four valve single pot four stroke 200 CC engine that is capable of generating around 23.5 PS of power at the peak. The upcoming 200 SS may get fitted with the same engine being tuned to generate power output of at least 24 PS at the peak along with around 18 – 19 Nm of torque. Engine might get accompanied with a 6 speed manual transmission gear box.
