India Vs UAE Match in World Cup 2015 at Perth: India Defeated UAE by 9 Wickets
Team India is reaching the knock out stage of world cup 2015. Dhoni’s team today defeated UAE by 9 wickets in a one sided match. India reached the small target of 103 runs set by UAE in just 18.5 overs by losing one wicket.
Perth: Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli remained not out on individual scores of 57 and 33 runs respectively. Dhawan was out for 14 runs. He was sent back to pavilion by Mohammed Naveen when the team’s score was 29. After that Rohit and Kohli led India to victory by not losing another wicket.
Indian Bowlers restricted UAE batsmen and the score at the end of UAE’s innings was 102 runs. Anwar is the top scorer in UAE team. Two other batsmen in the team could make two digit score. All others were back to the pavilion for single digit score. Indian bowlers Ashwin claimed four wicket. Jadeja, Umesh and Yadav took two wickets each. Ashwin is declared man of the match. This is the third win for India in world cup tourney 2015 league matches.
Earlier UAE won the toss and elected to bat first. The team lost its first wicket in the very first over of the innings. Anwar and Guruj added more than 30 runs to the tenth wicket and this is only the highlight of their innings. Ashwin, Jadeja and Umesh did not let the UAE batsmen score any runs. Good fielding supported the bowling. With this win, India has better chances to reach the quarter final in Pool B.
Team India is presently on top of points table of Pool B. The team has to play another three league matches against Ireland, Zimbabwe and West Indies. India may easily win over Ireland and Zimbabwe and the West Indies team also if they play carefully.
Interestingly there are Indian origin players in UAE team. One is Krishna Chandran from Kerala and the other is Swapnil Patil from Maharashtra. Both of these represented their own states in matches played in India. Both are settled in UAE for job purpose. UAE team also has players from other countries such as Afghanistan, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. There is more number of Pakistan players in the team.
