World Cup 2015 Second quarter Final India Vs Bangladesh in Dhaka Today: Preview

World cup 2007 humiliation is still afresh in the minds of Indian fans.  Team India was a title favorite and they took Bangladesh easily and were knocked out of the tourney.  This time Team India cannot take Bangladesh easily because the team defeated England is group matches and New Zealand had to fight hard to defeat the team.

Melbourne: Bangladesh has the habit of shocking bit teams in world cup tourneys and now the pressure is on Dhoni team.  Bangladesh is content with qualifying for quarter final stage and anything they achieve from now is bonus for them.  Thus the team can play without any pressure.

India has five batsmen among seven in good form. Virat Kohli has wonderful record over Bangladesh. There are high expectations on Kohli.  What if Dhoni and Raina fail? What about Rohit Sharma? Will Jadeja do justice to his role of an all-rounder? These are all questions that are worrying the cricket fans.

Strength of Bangladesh team is batting and thus the challenge is for Indian bowlers.  If Indian bowlers continue their good performance, it is only formality for Indian team to reach the semis.  Bangladesh batsmen play spin well and thus it is the responsibility of pacers to restrict them.

Bangladesh bowling is weak and batting is its strength.  There is experience Morthaja, Rubel Husain and  Ahmad in the team.  The team has quality batsmen in top and middle order. Opener Iqbal, Tamim and Mahamudullah are the dangerous batsmen.  Rahim plays well in middle order and turns dangerous in slag overs.  Above all there is Shaqid who is one of the best all-rounder in the world and is the most dangerous player in the team.

India played one group match in Melbourne and defeated South Africa here.  Bangladesh also played a match here.  India and Sri Lanka did first batting and scored more than 300 runs.  As per the ground curator, big score can be expected in this match also. Though the weather is dry, there is indication of rain.

Team India won eight matches out of ten matches against Bangladesh.  Both the teams faced each other last in June 2014 in Dhaka which was won by Team India.
