Team India which is already on the top of the points table of Pool A, wants to finish the league stage in world cup tourney with six wins in six matches. This may not be difficult for India which is in great form now. India will play the last league match against Zimbabwe today.

Melbourne: Quarter finals berth is already confirmed for Team India. Zimbabwe is no more in quarter final race thus it does not give any importance to today’s match. Winning this match is not going to be a big problem for India. the team can utilize this as a practice match before quarter finals. For Zimbabwe team, this match is going to be emotional as their captain Taylor is going to say goodbye to cricket after this match. He represented the country for 11 years and is retiring from cricket as playing for Zimbabwe team is not benefiting for him officially and he instead is opting to play in countries. He signed an agreement with England county club for three years and is retiring from international cricket.

Taylor is one of the best players of Zimbabwe cricket team in this decade. He played 166 matches and scored 5120 runs with 34.13 average. He played 23 tests and scored 1493 runs with 34.71 average.

Meanwhile, Team India is going to face Bangladesh in the quarter finals match. But the team cannot afford to take Bangladesh team lightly. The match between New Zealand and Bangladesh is a proof for this. Bangladesh gave a tough fight to New Zealand. Kiwis had to sweat a lot to win the match. Though Bangladesh lost the match, their performance will surely boost the confidence. Thus India has to be very careful with this team.
