New Delhi: The Japanese car maker Nissan has already made an announcement regarding the launch of cross badged Duster in the Indian market and now the manufacturer has unveiled the first look of how the future model is going to be.

As the upcoming Terrano compact sports utility vehicle is a cross badged version, the model is expected to remain the same mostly but the respective sketch revealed has shown some remarkable changes in the outer design. The model resembles the base structure of the Renault Duster and some changes like external graphics of the vehicle will be changed. Nissan has already unveiled a sketched image of the vehicle before when the name of the brand new compact SUV was declared officially.

Mr. Kenichiro Yomura, the President and the Chief Executive Officer of Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. has commented about the model while unveiling the sketch for the first time “I am delighted to reveal both the name and the very first image of what will be a very important model for Nissan. You can see from the sketch that Terrano has a bold and distinctive design that I am confident will appeal to our growing customer base in India, as will its driving performance and the range of other features that will be revealed at a later date”.

Renault and Nissan have exchanged their models earlier also and both have received success with their cross badged models in the Indian market. The name Terrano has also been used by Nissan earlier for another model which went successful. The first Terrano model was unveiled in the year 1993 and it was also a sports utility vehicle. As we can observe from the sketches, the front as well as rear ends of the brand new Nissan Terrano is different when compared with that of Renault Duster.

As cross badged model should have higher price tag than the base model, we may expect the price of the upcoming Nissan Terrano to be around Rs. 50 – 75 k costlier than Renault Duster.
