Non-subsidy Domestic Gas Cylinder Prices Hiked by Rs. 75

Oil companies hiked the price of non-subsidy domestic gas cylinders by Rs. 75. This price comes into immediate effect. This is applicable to the cylinders that consumers buy after their allotted quota of subsidy cylinders.

New Delhi: Oil companies hiked the non-subsidy domestic gas cylinder price by Rs. 70. Including taxes, the hike will be Rs. 75. Thus the price of cylinder is now Rs. 1100. Oil companies announced on Monday, the prices of petrol, diesel and domestic gas cylinder. The price of petrol is slashed by Rs. 4 per liter and there is fifty paisa hike on one liter of petrol.

The price of petrol is slashed for the first time in five months. This is the first time since May that the prices are reduced. On first May, the price was reduced y Rs. 3. Later with the depreciation of rupee against American Dollar, the price of petrol was increased at least ten times. Rupee is gaining since few days and thus the price of petrol is slashed. Motor sprit barrel priced fell from $117 to $113 and rupee reached 63 from 66 and thus the prices of petrol could be slashed, said Indian Oil Corporation. On the other side, subsidy of Diesel is going to be removed and as a part of it, the price of one liter of petrol is being increased since January, this year.

The domestic cylinder price reached Rs. 1110 and this is applicable to the cylinders that are taken after the subsidized nine cylinders quota is over for a consumer.

The 14.2 kg domestic gas cylinder prices in Delhi are going to be Rs. 922 after the hike. It was Rs. 895.50. This is applicable to the cylinders that consumers by beyond the entitled number of cylinders. The oil companies revise the rice of LPG on the first of every month based on the US Dollar and Rupee rate.

There is no restriction on the number of non-subsidy cylinders that a consumer takes. The prices of commercial and domestic gas are different as government offers subsidy on the domestic cylinders to reduce burden on common people. Subsidy gas cylinders will be available for the same price.
