Honda Jazz 2015 delivers 27.3 kmpl to take on Maruti Suzuki Celerio?

The Japanese automotive giant Honda is doing well with the Jazz hatchback in the Indian market since its debut. The manufacturer is likely to launch a new variant of the same this year. Though no official statement regarding the same has been made so far, It is revealed that the new gen Jazz hatchback is going to offer more than 27 kmpl on Indian roads.

As per the information, the upcoming edition of Jazz hatchback is likely to measure around 3955 mm of length, 1694 mm of width and 1544 mm of height respectively along with a larger wheel base of around 2530 mm. The maximum fuel tank capacity of the model is around 40 litres and the vehicle is also having ground clearance of 165 mm. The boot volume of the hatchback would be around 354 litres most probably and it could be offered with a revised exterior design. Honda is likely to make the new edition of Jazz hatchback a huge success in India by offering best in class mileage, standard features and also with an affordable price tag.

Honda will continue offering the hatchback in both petrol and diesel versions in India. The 2015 Jazz petrol is likely to get powered with a 1.2 litre four cylinder i VTEC petrol engine that is capable of generating around 90 PS power at the peak along with 110 Nm of torque. The base petrol variant would get fitted with a five speed manual transmission gear box which will assure around 18.7 kmpl mileage on an average. Higher end petrol variants may get mated with a CVT automatic transmission gear box that will assure around 19 kmpl mostly. Diesel variants would get powered with a 1.5 litre i – DTEC engine that generates around 100 PS power at the peak along with 200 Nm of torque. It is also informed that it would assure around 27.3 kmpl on an average. We can expect the official debut of the new Jazz by the end of this festive season.
