Honda Brio, Ford Figo, Hyundai Grand i10 and Chevrolet beat in trouble - Maruti Suzuki Celerio Diesel launch on 3rd June??

Maruti Suzuki has all set up for the launch of new Celerio diesel hatchback in the Indian market and the launch is reported to be scheduled on 3rd of this June. Some sources have revealed specifications of the model which have not been revealed officially so far. It is also informed that Celerio diesel can assure best in class mileage and it is likely to be priced around Rs. 4.5 lakhs mostly.

Diesel powered Celerio is going to be a big hit in the Indian market as Indian buyers are price concerned mostly. The exclusive price tag and higher fuel efficiency are going to be the most significant features of the model. There are not going to be any cosmetic changes in the diesel edition of the Celerio hatchback when compared with the petrol edition of the same. Maruti may offer three variants of the diesel powered Celerio and they are expected to be named suffixed as – Ldi, VDi and ZDi respectively. Higher end variants are going to offer exclusive safety features such as ABS with EBD and dual air bags in the front.

The manufacturer is likely to power the diesel powered Celerio with an 800 CC diesel engine that is capable of producing around 47 bhp power at the peak along with 125 Nm of torque. The engine may get accompanied with a five speed manual transmission gear box as standard but we can also expect an Automated Manual Transmission gear box to be offered. We can expect some of the significant features such as rear wiper and washer, fog lights, upgraded music system with Bluetooth connectivity, steering mounted audio controls and etc.

Maruti’s Swift Dzire is the most fuel efficient Indian car so far by offering 26 kmpl on an average. As per the information, the diesel powered Celerio is capable of assuring around 27.62 kmpl mileage on an average which is more than any production car available in the Indian market currently.
