Tata Motors has launched the most awaited Diesel edition of the Zest sedan in the Indian market. The petrol powered edition of the sedan has been received very well by Indian buyers and the manufacturer is hoping for a grand success for the year 2015 with the new Zest XTA sedan. The new edition of Zest sedan comes with a wide number of premium features along with the exclusive Automated Manual Transmission gear box.

The manufacturer has revealed the new Zest XTA in the Indian market without much buzz. There are not going to be any cosmetic changes in the new variant of Zest and the design is going to be the same as that of previous variants. With the addition of new variant, Tata is currently offering Zest sedan in three distinct engine options – two diesel trims and one petrol trim respectively. Most of the standard features offered by rival models in the segment are offered by Zest and the manufacturer has kept the price tag of the sedan very affordable relatively than most of the other models. We can consider the new Zest as the most affordable sedan in its segment with premium range of features on board.

Tata Zest

Petrol edition of the Zest sedan comes powered with a 1.2 litre turbo charged Revotron engine that is capable of generating around 90 PS power at the peak and it comes mated to a five speed manual transmission gear box by default. The base diesel variant of the model comes powered with a 1.3 litre multi jet diesel engine that is capable of generating around 75 PS power at the peak. The current variant of the sedan comes powered with the same engine but the maximum power output of the sedan is around 90 PS. The new trim comes mated to a automated manual transmission gear box. Tata is offering the new Zest XTA sedan for s starting price of around Rs. 8.07 lakhs only.
