Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Facelift Spotted without Camo – LED DRLS and more, launch by 1st Anniversary of Ciaz?

The leading car maker in India, Maruti Suzuki has succeeded with the launch of Ciaz sedan recently and is now looking forward to introduce an upgrade of the same. An enthusiast has recently spotted a test mule of the model sporting some cosmetic changes. As per the information, we may seen facelift edition of Ciaz by the first anniversary of the model in India which is just few months away.

The manufacturer has recently showcased a special edition variant of the Ciaz sedan at the 2015 edition of Bangkok Motor Show. The exclusive edition was named as “Ciaz Aero” and it may be the production version of the Facelift Ciaz sedan which is on the way to get launched soon. As we could observe from the respective set of spy images revealed over web, there was no camouflage at all on the body of test mule and it clearly indicates that the respective variant is going to be launched soon. The current gen variant of Ciaz has impressed majority of Indian buyers and Maruti Suzuki need not to add much to its portfolio.

Like the current gen variant, the upcoming edition of Ciaz sedan will be made available in both petrol and diesel variants in India. Petrol version of the model is likely to get powered with the same 1.4 litre K series engine mated to a 5 speed manual transmission gear box or a 4 speed automatic transmission gear box by default. Diesel edition of the model may get fitted with a 1.3 litre DDiS diesel engine accompanied by a 5 speed manual transmission gear box. Most of the changes we may witness in the upcoming Ciaz sedan are likely to be purely cosmetic. The front fascia of the sedan may get fitted with a fine strip of LED day time running lights which are clearly visible in the set of spy images. There may also be some other visual changes and we can expect it to get launched by end of this year mostly.
