Anshula Kana Appointed CFO and Deputy MD of SBI

26.06.2015: Anshula Kant who is presently serving as Chief General Manager at Bombay Circle of SBI is now appointed as the deputy managing director and chief financial officer. She will succeed PK Gupta who went as chief executive officer on promotion. Anshula Kant started her career in SBI as a probationary officer.

Leander Paes is the 47th Player in 100 Partners Club on ATP Circuit

26.06.2015: Indian Tennis Player Leander Paes joined the 100 partners club on ATP circuit. He is the 47th player in the world to play with 100 different partners. He is going to pair with Marcel Granollers of Spain. With his 100th partner, Leander will play against Treat Huey and Scott Lipsky at Aegon Open which is going to be played in UK. Leander Paes won eight men double grand slam titles in his career till now. Mahesh Bhupati, another Indian tennis player was his partner in three title wins.

New Development Bank to Start Operations from April 2016

26.06.2015: The first president of New Development Bank, K V Kamath revealed that the operations of the bank are expected to begin on April, 2015. The bank is promoted by India, China, Brazil, Russia, China and South Africa. KV Kamath will take over as president of the bank in Shanghai in July.

International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking Celebrated

26.06.2015: Every year 26th June is celebrated as a day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. The day is observed to remind the member states of the states to take measures to create international society free of drug abuse. Integrated Rehabilitation centre for addicts is a step taken by the government to provide counselling and treatment to victims of drug abuse and illicit trafficking.

HDFC Launched Mobile Trading App

26.06.2015: HDFC’s associate HDFC Securities launched a mobile trading app in eleven Indian languages along with English. This will help to easily buy shares, mutual funds and other investment schemes. Investors can choose the language of their choice and complete the transactions via mobile. This is the first online facility that also features online relationship platform, chat support and real time calling facility.
