BlackBerry Leap with 5 inch Display, 128 GB Expandable Storage Launched in India for Rs. 21,490

BlackBerry launched a new handset in India. Dubbed as BlackBerry Leap, this is a midrange smartphone that was unveiled at MWC this year. The handset will be made available in a couple of days for a price of Rs. 21,490 in India.

New Delhi: The new launch Blackberry smartphone Leap comes with 5 inch display with display resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It weighs 170 grams. The handset is powered by dual core Qualcomm processor whose clock speed is 1.5 GHz. The processor is backed by 2 GB RAM and the internal storage is 16 GB. Memory can be expanded up to 128 GB via micro SD. The handset comes equipped with 8 megapixel primary camera and 2 megapixel front facing camera. It comes out of the box with BlackBerry 10.3 operating system. The handset supports WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. Battery under the hood is 2800 mAh battery and is likely to deliver up to 25 hours of mixed usage.

Sunil Lalvani, MD of BlackBerry in India said on the launch of Leap smartphone, “The BlackBerry Leap was designed specifically for the young power professionals who see their smartphone device as a powerful and durable productivity tool that also safeguards sensitive communications, while on-the-go,” BalckBerry is also going to launch another smartphone later this year with dual curve all touch display, it is revealed without giving any specific date.
