Rakesh Sahni is the new Chairman of NVDA
15.07.2015: Rakesh sahni is appointed as the new chief secretary of Narmada Valley Development Authority. He is a retired chief secretary and belongs to 1972 IAS officers branch. He also worked as MP Electricity Regulatory commission. The appointment is made by Madhya Pradesh government. NVDA was formed in 1985 by Madhya Pradesh government to oversee major development projects in Narmada basin.
Ajay Kumar Pandey is the New MD and Group CEO of GIFT City
15.7.2015: Ajay Kumar Pandey is appointed the managing director and CEO of Gujarat International Finance Tec-city Company Limited. He will succeed Ramakant Jha who is moving to Mumbai a CEO of Smart City initiative. Prior to this appointment, Ajay Kumar served Tata Telecommunication in senior management positions.
Sayed Haide Raza, the Indian Artist Wins the Commadeur de la Legion d’Honneur Award
15.7.2015: The Highest French Civilian Honor, the commander de la Legion D’Honneur is conferred on Sayed Haider Raza, the modern Indian artist. The award is given to those who do outstanding service to France.
Team India Won ODI Series against Zimbabwe
15.07.2015: Team Indian won the one day series against Zimbabwe. India cleans swept the series by winning all the three matches. India defeated Zimbabwe in the last and third one day international match that was played in Harare. India won the series 3-0.
Golden Peacock Award in Environment Management for Krishnapatnam Port
15.7.2015: Krishnapatnam port in Andhra Pradesh is given the golden peacock environment management award. The award was handed over to C Sasidhar, MD of the port by Union Minister of State for Environment Prakash Javadekar at World Congress on Environment Management. The port authorities planted more than twenty lakh trees with in the port and more than fifty thousand trees in nearby villages. There are solar lights and solar heaters in the port as well as in the employees’ colony.
15th July is World Youth Skills Day
15.7.2015: For the first time, 15th July is celebrated as the World Youth Skills Day. The day is celebrated to raise awareness about investing in youth skills development. United National General Assembly decided to celebrate this day and the theme of the day for this year is “ Youth skills for work and life in the post-2015 agenda”.
