Parineeti Chopra is the Brand Ambassador of Girl Child Campaign

17.07.2015: Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra is named the brand ambassador for girl child campaign of Haryana government. The campaign named ‘Beti bachao-Beti Padhao’ is to promote the cause of girl child.  Parineethi Chopra is from Haryana and she won National and filmfare awards.  The actress will attend a campaign planned on July 21.

Neeraj Kumar is the new Chief Security Advisor for World T20

17.07.2015: India is going to host the next T20 world cup in 2016.  Neeraj Kumar, the ex police commissioner of Delhi is appointed the chief advisor of security and anticorruption unit of BCCI for theT20 world cup.  BCCI also appointed Amrit Mathur as the principal co-ordinator, DR MB Sridhar as the general manager for cricket operations and RP Shah as the tournament manager, Finance.  KBP Rao is the manager for cricket operations; Nishan Jeet Arora is the media manager of BCCI and Mayank Parikh is nominated as Manager for logistics and hospitality.

Eric Lange is the New Vice President of Product Management, Flipkart

17.07.2015: Flipkart announced that Eric Lange will take charge as the vice president of product management in August this year.  He will take charge in company’s headquarters which is located in Bengaluru.  Prior to this appointment Eric worked with Yahoo and Google also.  He is the third Silicon Valley executive to join Flipkart this year.

US White House Honored Sunita Viswanath as Champions of Change

17.07.2015: Indian American Sunita Viswanath is honored as Champions of Change in US.  Sunita was selected by US White House for protecting environment and communities from climate change along with 12 other faith leaders. Sunita was born in Chennai and is working with human rights and women’s organizations since thirty years.

Railway Tatkal Tickets Can Be Booked Without Identify Proof from Sept 1

17.07.2015: Railways announced that passengers can book Tatkal tickets without the need to submit their identity proofs. Identity proofs will not be required now for booking the tickets.  Passengers were required to provide photocopy of identity card which they will carry during journey to book the tatkal tickets.
