Suzuki Gixxer SF Spotted at plant – Tackles Yamaha FZ V2.0, Bajaj Pulsar, TVS Apache and Hero Karizma ZMR

Suzuki Motorcycles has succeeded in dragging the attention of Indian biking enthusiasts with the launch of Gixxer commuter bike about a year ago. Gixxer is currently listed among the top selling two wheelers in the Indian market and there is no doubt in saying that it has made things tougher for rival models of the segment. Suzuki has already announced about the faired edition of Gixxer in the past and the model has already reached production phase.

An enthusiast has recently spotted a fully built unit of the faired edition of Gixxer and has managed to capture few snaps of the same. A set of those spy images were revealed over web recently and they are reported to be captured at Suzuki’s manufacturing facility. As we could observe from the respective set of images, the upcoming Gixxer SF is going to wear full fairings and the base structure of the faired section seems to be inspired from the well reputed sports breed from Suzuki, Hayabusa. The front end of the new Gixxer gets a brand new headlight along with an exclusive wind screen just like higher end sports bikes that are available in the market currently.

Gixxer SF comes powered with the same air cooled 155 CC single cylinder engine that is capable of generating around 14 bhp power at the peak along with 14 Nm of torque. Engine comes mated to a five speed manual transmission gear box by default. The manufacturer is offering dual exhaust pipes with the faired edition of Gixxer commuted bike. Front end gets a 100/80 R-17 tyre whereas the rear end gets a 140/60 R-17 tyre. Suspension needs at the front are taken care by telescopic forks whereas the manufacturer offered a mono shock suspension system on the rear wheel.

Suzuki is expected to price the new Gixxer SF around Rs. 90K in India and it is reported to deliver around 45 kmpl mileage on an average.
