12.04.2014: Gulzar, poet and film lyricist, selected for Dadasaheb Phalke Award 2013. This was announced by Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. He will be 45th winner of this award. His original name was Sampooran Singh Kalra. He won this award for his outstanding contribution for the development of Indian Cinema. He is famous as poet, producer, Screen Writer, Director and Lyricist.

New Chief Justice of Delhi High Court is Justice G Rohini

12.04.2014: New Chief Justice of Delhi High Court is Justice G Rohini. She is the senior most judge of the AP High Court. She was appointed by President of India on 11th April. Rohini is the first woman chief Justice of Delhi High Court. In 1980, she enrolled as an advocate.

12.04.2014: Mizar Sadananda Pai Passed Away. He is a Cashew Exporter from Dakshina Kannada district. He is 78 years old. Mizar died on 10th April in Mangalore. Between 1979 to 1993 he acted as President of KCMA (Karnataka Cashew Manufacturer Association).

12.04.2014: India leads the list of countries in terms of Global remittance in the year 2013 with USD 70 billion including USD 65 billion which were earned from the software services exports. This information was given by World Bank. In Global remittance, China stood at second position with USD 60 billion.
