New UNDP Goodwill Ambassador is Michelle Yeoh

17.3.2016: Micehlle Yeoh, Malaysian actress is appointed as the goodwill Ambassador of UNDP. United Nations Development Programme works to reduce inequality and to eradicate poverty. She will work to raise awareness and support for Sustainable Development Goals. The actress worked in various hit films such as Tomorrow Never Dies and was acclaimed for her performance. She was also the Global Ambassador for Live to Love and Make Roads Safe Campaign in the year 2012.

First Woman Chief Justice of Nepal is Sushila Karki

17.3.2016: Supreme court judge Sushila Kariki is going to be the first woman chief justice of Nepal. Her name is recommended by Judicial Council of Nepal. President Bidhya Bhandari who is the first woman president is required to formally accept the nomination of Sushila Karki. Her name was recommended by judicial council to constitutional council that nominates head of judiciary. The present chief justice of Supreme Court Kalyan Shreshta is going to retire in April this year and will be succeeded by Shushila Karki.

Air Asia India Appoints Amar Abrol as CEO

17.3.2016: AirAsia India announced the appointment of Amar Abrol as the new chief executive officer. He will take charge in the beginning of April this year. He will succeed Mittu Chandilya. Abrol served Tune Money, American Express. Air Asia India also announced the appointment of Ankur Khanna as chief financial officer.

17.3.2016: TIME magazine released the second annual 30 most influential people on internet. Indian prime minister Modi stood in the 15th position in the list which is topped by Kanye West. Narendra Modi has more than 23 million facebook likes and 18 million twitter followers. The top ten names in the list are Kanye West, Joy Cho, James Corden, Laci Green, Josh Holz and Daniel Lara, DJ Khaled, Johnetta Elzie and DeRay Mckesson, J K Rowling, Feliz Arvid Ulf Kjellberg and 10 Donald Trump.
