Sister Nirmala Passed away
23.06.2015: Sister Nirmala, the former superior general of Missionaries of Charity passed away at the age of 81. she succeeded Mother Theresa in 1997, March. Mother Therese passed away on September 5th same year. Sister Nirmala was in the post till March 24, 2009 and she was succeeded by Mary Prema.
International Olympic Day Celerbated on 23rd June, 2015
23.06.2015: International Olympic Day is celebrated every year on June 23 since 1948 to commemorate the birth of modern Olympic games. Modern Olympic Games were started on 23rd June, 1894 at Sorbonne in Paris. The day is observed to promote particiaption in sports irrespective of age, gender across the globe.
Blue Mormon is the State Butterfly of Maharashtra
23.06.2015: Maharashtra government chose Blue Mormon to tbe their state butterfuly and became the first state to have state butterfly. Blue Mormon is the second larges butterflies in the world. The butterfly is found in coastal belts of India, westerns ghats of Maharashtra and Sri Lanka only. it has black wings with blue spots.
Kerala Government declared 22nd June as Snake Bird Day
23.06.2015: 22nd June is to be observed as Snake Bird Day in Kerala. This is declared by the government of the state as part of protecting the endangered species campaign. Snake bird is a long necked water bird whose scientific name is Darter-Anhinga Melanogaster. The bird is black and has silver wing markings.

23.03.2015: The re-examination of AIPMT 2015 is going to be conducted on July 25 this year. The test was cancelled by Supreme Court and CBSE was asked to reconduct the test in view of cheating in the test at many places.
