Kapil Mishra Appointed Chairman of Delhi Jal Board

16.6.2015: Kapil Mishra, MLA of AAM is appointed as the new chairman of Delhi Jal Board. He replaces deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia. Kapil Mishra represents Karawal Nagar constituency. He won Delhi elections 2014 by defeating his nearest rival by a margin of over 44000 votes.

Harbhajan Singh became the 9th Highest Test Wicket Taker in the World

16.6.2015: Harbhajan Singh became the ninth highest test wicket taker when he claimed 416 wickets. He took these wickets in 102 matches. Harbhajan is only 20 wickets short to equal Kapil Dev’s record of 434 test wickets. Anil Kumble is in the first place with 619 wickets and Kapil Dev is the second highest wicket taker.

Narendra Modi Wishes Pakistan, Bangladesh Prime Ministers

16.6.2015: Indian prime minister Narendra Modi conveyed his wishes for the holy month of Ramadan to Nawaz Sharif – Pakistan prime minister; Dr Ashraf Ghan president of Afghanistan and Sheikh Hasin, the prime minister of Bangladesh. Indian prime minister said that he hopes peace, tranquility and harmony will be in their countries.

Nepal Reopens Heritage Sites for Public Two Months after Earthquake

16.6.2015: A deadly earthquake hit Nepal two months ago killing nearly nine thousand people and severely damaging many heritage sites and buildings. However, Nepal reopened six heritage sites for public now. These include Pashupathinath, Lumbini, Patan Durbarsquare, Swoymabhu and Bhaktapur Durbarsquare.

Detergent Found in Mother Dairy Milk

16.6.2015: Food and Drug Administration of Uttar Pradesh revealed that they have found detergent in Mother Dairy milk samples. Mother dairy is subsidiary of National Dairy Development Board. However Mother Dairy is contesting the claims.

Half an Hour Free WiFi Facility at Taj Mahal

16.6.2015: Tourists visiting Taj Mahal can now upload their photos taken there directly as half an hour free WiFi facility will be available for them now. The facility is launched by Union minister for communications Ravi Shankar Prasad. BSNL and Quadgen, a Bangalore company are making arrangements to introduce this facility.
