Ahuti Prasad Died At The Age Of 58 Years

Ahuti Prasad a reliable character actor cum villain extensively worked in Telugu movies died today at the age of 58 years.

Hyderabad: Ahuti Prasad originally born on 2nd January 1958 as Adusumillli Janardhana Vara Prasad in Krishna District started his movie career way back in 1988. In view of his first break through getting through the film Ahuti (produced by MS Reddy) he started being known and called as Ahuti Prasad.

During the last 25 years of his movie career, Prasad acted in as many as 120 Telugu, 2 Tamil, 3 Kannada & 1 Hindi movies. His main contribution to the Tollywood has been in the form of character actor.

For his action, Prasad also received Nandi awards in 2007 (for Best Character Actor for the movie Chandamama) & 2002 (for Best Villain for the mvoei Nennu Ninnu Premistunnanu).

His slant of speaking Telugu language made him special. His characters in films like Bendu Apparao RMP, Dammu, Dhamarukam, SVSC, Attarintiki Daaredi, Rowdy Fellow etc got him special fame.

Many of the successful movies having Ahuti Prasad entered Bollywood by way of dubbing and in this way he also became famous for Hindi audience as well.

Survived by two sons (Bharani & Karthik), Prasad had to fight cancer. Despite the best efforts and treatment at KIMS, Prasad last breathed today at the age of 58 years.

For his successful roles as character actor as well as Villain, Ahuti Prasad will be remembered for many years to come.

Telugu film industry lost many celebrities during the last year including veteran director Bapu, Balachander etc. Ahuti Prasad’s death is another jolt for Tollywood.
