Tata Safari Storme 2015 to be priced Rs. 9.99 lakhs? – Takes on Renault Duster, Ford Eco Sport Maruti Ertiga and Mahindra Scorpio
Tata Motors is busy with the arrangements for the launch of the brand new edition of Safari Storme in the Indian market. Safari is one of the most reputed Sports Utility Vehicles in India from past few years but the veteran model is struggling to attract Indian buyers due to the heavy competition from rival models which are launched in the last three or four years. Tata is hoping for a breakthrough again with the new Safari Storme this year.
A broacher having all the specifications of 2015 Safari Storme has been revealed over web recently. As per the information, the new SUV measures around 4655 mm of length, 1965 mm of width and 1922 mm of height respectively. The wheel base of the model is around 2650 mm whereas the ground clearance is around 200 mm which is more than enough to have a comfortable ride on Indian road conditions. Tata is offering the new edition Safari in five exclusive colour options and they are Arctic Silver, Arctic White, Astern Black, Pearl White and Urban Bronze respectively. The vehicle will be made available in 4+1 and 6+1 seating trims and we can also expect the new SUV to be offered in both two wheel drive and four wheel drive options in India.
Safari Storme 2015 comes powered with a 2.2 litre 16 valve DOHC VTT VARICOR engine that is capable of generating around 150 PS power at the peak along with 320 Nm of torque. A five speed manual transmission gear box will be the only available choice with all variants of the new SUV. Ventilated disk brakes are offered for the front wheels whereas the buyer can choose from drum and disk brakes for rear wheels. Some of the significant features added in the new edition SUV are remote central locking system with flip key, exclusive Harman CONNECTNEXT music system with integrated controls mounted to steering wheel and etc. Tata is likely to offer the new Safari Storme 2015 for just Rs. 9.99 lakhs only.
