General Motors has come up with a brand new edition of the Captiva Sports Utility Vehicle in the Indian market. Keeping the increasing demand for compact Sports Utility vehicles in the domestic market, Chevrolet has exclusively launched new edition SUV with 4 X 2 and 4 X 4 (All Wheel Drive) drive systems. The starting price of the new 2015 Chevrolet Captiva SUV is around Rs. 25.13 lakhs only.

Chevrolet Captiva

The new edition of Captiva comes with an advanced feature mostly known as ‘Cluster Ionizer’, which is being used for the first time in the Indian market by Chevrolet. The Ionizer creates ions and they get spread all over the cabin to deodorize it. The orientation of the instrument cluster has also been changed remarkably. 2015 Captiva comes powered with a 2.2 litre diesel engine that is capable of generating around 186.5 bhp power at the peak along with 400 Nm of torque. The two wheel drive version of the SUv gets mated to a six speed manual transmission gear box by default. The higher end variants with All Wheel Drive system gets mated with a six speed automatic transmission gear box as well along with the manual gear box. The new Captiva tackles rival models such as Renault Duster, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Ford Eco Sport and Mahindra Scorpio etc.
