SPY SHOTS: Audi Q3 Facelift 2015 Spotted – Launch at Geneva Motor Show 2015?

The German Automotive giant Audi has started testing the upcoming edition of the Q3 Sports Utility Vehicle already. An enthusiast has spotted a test mule of the upcoming entry level SUV while it was under on road testing and few images of the test mule were revealed over web. Heavy camouflage covered the respective test mule completely but few parts of the front fascia as well as few parts of the rear fascia are visible through it. Though the manufacturer has not moved a lip about the model yet, we can expect he official debut of the model by mid 2015.

As we could observe from the respective set of spy images revealed over web, there are very few changes in the external styling of the Sports Utility Vehicle when compared with the previous edition. The front fascia receives a new set of head lights along with a revised front grille. The bumper is fully covered with camouflage and thus we are unable to capitalize the changes made to it. This is going to be the first fully fledged face lift edition of the entry level SUV and we can expect the prototype of the model to get displayed at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show 2015.

Though the interiors of the test mule are not visible in the respective set of images revealed over web, we can expect few changes for sure. The material used for covering the interiors including upholstery may be changed along with the design of the dash board. Some sources informed that it is going to feature certain comforts such as LED lighting under seats and for switches, upgraded music system with AUX IN and USB input support. Air conditioning system is expected to be tweaked up and the vehicle may also feature automatic climate control system.

The current gen Audi Q3 was revealed at the Shanghai Auto Show and it is going to be offered both in petrol as well as in diesel versions. The base petrol variant of the model is going to be powered with a 2.0 litre TFSI petrol engine that could produce 170 PS power at the peak. Another variant of the model is going to feature the same engine with a tune up as a result of which it delivers around 211 PS power at the peak. Both the petrol variants comes mated with a 7 speed S TRONIC transmission gear box by default and both are equipped with Audi’s Quattro all wheel drive system.

The base diesel variant of Audi Q3 comes fitted with a 2.0 litre TDi engine mated to a 7 speed S Tronic transmission and Quattro AWD with a maximum power output of 177 PS. Audi has added a new diesel variant ‘Q3 S’ that comes fitted with a 2.0 litre TDI engine that produces 140 PS at the peak. This variant is a front wheel drive model and it comes mated with a 6 speed manual transmission gear box.
