Six New 3G, 4G Smartphones for Indian Markets Soon: ZTE Telecom

ZTE telecom is planning to launch six smartphones in India. These will be offered in different price ranges. These smartphones will come with support to 3G and 4G connectivity. These will be priced between Rs. 7,000 and 18,000 price range. These smartphone include entry level and high end smartphone.

Taipei: ZTE however did not reveal any other information about the upcoming phones for the Indian market. The company wants to tap the potential 4G in India and is likely to offer affordable phones that support 4G connectivity.

It is also likely that ZTE is going to open an R&D center in India but no specific details about it are revealed. The new devices of ZTE will be launched on wireless carriers and the company is talking to them to finalize the matter. The company is concentrating more on the 4G smartphones and soon will take a decision on the models that will be launched with 4G connectivity. ZTE will work with chip makers that will help offer the 4G smartphones for affordable prices. There is a great market for cheap phones that come with decent prices in India. it is holding talks with chipmakers such as Qualcomm, Marvell and MediaTek. Though the company is going to launch the smartphones at affordable prices, they will become successful only when the tariff at the operators are lower.

ZTE partnered with Amazon, eBay, Flipkart and other online retailers to release its earlier smartphones in Nubia lineup. It is now reported that the company will partner with retailers as these to launch its new devices in India.

ZTE wants to invest more in India market and increase the sales of its CDMA and GSM deices. It also wants to make the 4G LTE smartphones a big success. More information is expected soon. ZTE entered in Indian market in 2013 by launching smartphones and data cards. Economic Times also reported that the company will have five regional distributors for mobile handset business in India. more people in India are opting for accessing internet through mobile phones that through their desktop computers. Thus the demand for handset that provided fast internet access are definitely going to increase in the days to come.
