The biggest event for Football lovers is here to entertain the fans for one month. The first match in FIFA will be played between Brazil and Croatia on June 13 at 1.30 am IST. 32 teams are participating in the tourney and it end with the final match on July 13.

Brasilia: Brazil and Argentina are the favorites in FIFA tourney. Germany and defending champion Spain are also going to give tough competition. Portugal, Uruguay and Netherlands are other contenders for the trophy.

Brazil: Brazil played in all football world cup tourneys and won the world cup highest times. It won the title in 1958,62,70,94 and 2002. In the last two tourneys however, it was out of the tournament in quarter’s level. This time the team wants to win the cup and is the favorite team of many. Brazil is going to play in its own country and this is the biggest advantage for the team. at the same time there is also pressure on the team.

Argentina: the team won the cup in 1978 and 86 and was runner up in 1990. After that it did not cross the quarter’s level. Argentina is the team that made highest number of goals in qualifying rounds and is one of the favorite for the title. Capital Lionel is the strength of the team he is one of the best strikers. But the team is weak in defense.

Germany: Germany won the cup thrice in 1954, 1974 and 1990 and was runner up four times. Germany is hot favorite for the title as this is one of the balanced teams. It has the best goal keeper in the world. Weather in Brazil is the biggest challenge for the team.

Spain: This team won two Euro cups and one world cup in the last six years. this is one of the favorite teams and not taking any pressure is the advantage for the team. weather also is going to be problem for the team apart from having aged players in the team.

Total prize money of FIFA is Rs. 3415 crores. Winner is going to get Rs. 207 crores and runner up will get Rs. 148 crores. The matches will be played on 12 venues. This is the 20th world cup and Brazil qualified for the tourney for all the world cup tourneys.
