EAMCET 2014 1st Phase of Counseling Likely from June 29: Classes to Begin on August 1

All arrangements are being made to held first phase of counseling for EAMCET 2014 from June 29. As per the orders of Supreme Court, all admission procedures should be completed by July 31 and classes have to begin on August 1.

Hyderabad: EAMCET 2014 admission committee met in higher education council, Hyderabad yesterday and decided to hold the first phase of counseling on June 29. The meeting was headed by higher education council chairman professor L Venugopal Reddy and is attended by Ajay Jain, Shailaja Ram iyer, secretary Satish Reddy, Counseling camp officer K Raghunath and other officers.

Since Andhra Pradesh is bifurcated as Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, all steps are being taken to avoid any issues that may rise between the two regions related to admissions. Ajay Jain is appointed as EAMCET 2014 convener and Shailaja Ram iyer is appointed the co-convener. All India Council of Technical Education will make available the details of engineering colleges in the states and available seats in their website on June 15.

Governments of both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states did not take any decision on fee reimbursement and the renewal orders related to engineering colleges and seats is also not released yet. If all required orders are received, there will be no problems for holding the counseling from June 29.

EAMCET rankers were given scratch cards till previous year and this system will be cancelled from this year. instead the rankers will be provided with one time password. EAMCET 2014 ranks are going to be released on June 9 at 4.30 pm the ranks CD will be released by education minister G Jagadeesh Reddy in JNTU, Kukatpally. Final key of EAMCET 2014 and the ranks will also be released on the same date.

OMR answer sheets of the candidates will also be available in the website for transparency in valuations of papers. EAMCET convener Professor NV Ramana Rao released a press note to this effect.

EAMCET 2014 was held in united Andhra Pradesh and the admissions are going to be held in two separate states. The officials are thus waiting for instructions from Higher Education Council to take any decision regarding the admissions. Bifurcation of APSCHE however will be done in December this year and thus some officials say there will be no problem for admission procedure.
