Intex Aqua Octa vs. Xolo Q3000 Comparison: Pixel Density of Xolo Q3000 is More

Intex has now officially launched its first Octa core smartphone Intex Aqua Octa (Initial Hands On review) priced at Rs. 19,999. The phone carries a massive display slightly larger than what we saw in Xolo Q3000 which is priced at Rs. 18,849.

Mumbai: Both Intex Aqua Octa and Xolo Q300 smartphones represent the flagship devices of two strongly emerging Android smartphone players in India. Let’s compare them head to head to know where they stand.

Display and Processor

This is where the two smartphones differ in large. The Xolo Q3000 comes with a 5.7 inch IPS LCD display with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) which gives quite a sharp display.

Whereas the Intex Aqua Octa gives even a bigger display with 6 inch size. The IPS LCD Display also features One Glass Solution (OGS) technology, which eliminates certain display layers to give a closer, brighter and faster display. The pixel density of 720p HD display is 244 ppi which implies display won’t be as sharp as in Xolo Q3000.

Camera and Internal Storage

Both phablets offer you a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and BSI 2 sensor. The front facing camera with 50 megapixel also present in both the phablets for video chats. In Xolo Q3000 both the front and back camera have BSI sensor, for better low light performance. The Internal storage in Xolo Q3000 and Intex Aqua Octa is also same at 16 GB onboard storage extendable to 32 GB using MicroSD card.

Battery and Other Features

Xolo Q3000 has provided something refreshing in form of 4000 mAh battery capable of delivering 33 hours of talk time and 667 hours of standby time on 2G which is pretty amazing. Web browsing time will be 9 hours on 3G and up to 13 hours on WiFi.

The Intex Aqua Octa, with a larger display and more power hungry processor holds a smaller 2300 mAh battery which is a major limitation of this device. Despite the slim body design of Intex Aqua Octa (7 mm) the battery is removable.

The Xolo Q3000 packs the MediaTek MT6589T turbo chipset, which offers 4 cores clocked at 1.5 GHz and the power of PowerVR SGX 544 MP GPU clocked at 357 MHz. The chipset can’t handle full HD resolution very well during high end graphic intensive gaming as per our past experience with several MT6589T Full HD smartphones, but serves other purposes well.

The Intex Aqua Octa on the other hand carries the first true octa core chipset, MT6592, which houses 8 CPU cores clocked at 1.7 GHz. The GPU employed is Mali 450 MP4 GPU clocked at 700 MHz. Both of these smartphone chipsets house 2 GB RAM and the processing power of Intex Aqua Octa will definitely be much better.
