Micromax Canvas Turbo has become pretty popular in the Indian market off late and has been selling for about Rs 17,000. The same will be going up against the Intex Aqua Octa core smartphone which has just been launched in the market for Rs 19,999.

New Delhi: The Indian smartphones manufacturing companies Micromax and Intex are increasingly focusing on including the latest technology and advanced features in their smartphones in order to stand apart in the crowd. Let us have a comparative view at the Intex’s recently launched Aqua Octa and Micromax’s Canvas Turbo smartphones:

Display: Intex Aqua Octa features an OGS HD IPS touch display of 6 inches with a resolution of 1280 x720 pixels. Whereas, Micromax Canvas Turbo features a 5 inch OGS IPS full HD LCD Sharp touch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

Processor: Intex Aqua Octa smartphone comes equipped with MediaTek MT6592 octa core processor clocked at 1.7 Giga Hertz. On the other hand, Micromax Canvas Turbo comes with MediaTek quad core processor of 1.5 Giga Hertz.

Software: Aqua Octa and Canvas Turbo function on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS.

Camera: Both the smartphones sport a primary camera of 13 mega pixels with LED flash at their rear and a front facing camera of 5 mega pixels.

Memory: Both the devices come with a RAM of 2 GB and 16 GB of internal memory. They do not feature expandable memory.

Connectivity Features: The connectivity features offered by the two smartphone include GPS, Bluetooth, 3G and Wi-Fi.

Other Features: Both the handsets feature dual SIM and carry FM Radio and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

Battery: Intex Aqua Octa works on a 2300 mAh battery while the Micromax Canvas Turbo works on 2000 mAh battery.

Our Take: Both the smartphones, Intex Aqua Octa and Micromax Canvas Turbo, are pretty good devices with an exciting range of features and services incorporated in them. After the comparison of the two handsets, my verdict is in favor of Intex Aqua Octa since it provides you with a bigger display, better memory and an octa core processor which will ensure hassle free, faster functionality of the smartphone.
