Adonis, Arab Poet is Kumaran Asan World Prize for Poetry Winner

06.04.2015: Syrian Lebanese Arab pet Adonis is chosen for the prestigious Kumaran Asan World Prize for poetry. He is one of the most popular and greatest living poets in Arab. He was born in Syria in 1930 but is now settled in Paris. His poetry works are translated into many languages. Sea Could sleep, Not A Star, A King is Miyhar, A Voice, Take me to God are few of his famous works.

Annadurai is the new director of ISRO Satellite Centre

06.04.2015: Annadurai is appointed the new director of ISRO satellite centre. He will succeed SK Shivakumar. Annadurai is an electronics and communication engineer and also done PG in applied electronics from PSG college o Technology. He was the lead member of ISRO satellite mission during 1992-2005.

Novak Djokovic is the winner of Men’s singles Miami Open trophy

06.04.2015: Novok Djokovic won the men’s singles Miami open trophy. The world number one ranker defeated Andy Murray to win the trophy. This is the fifth Miami open trophy for Novak.

Sania Mirza – Martin Hingis win Miami Open Doubles Title

06.04.2015: Sania Mirza and Martin Hingis lifted the women’s double Miami open trophy. The pair defeated Russia pair Elena Vesnina and Ekaterina Makarova. This is the second consecutive title for Sania, Martin pair. They also won the Indian wells open title few days ago.

Delhi International Airport won the Golden Peacock National Quality Award 2015

06.04.2015: Delhi International Airport limited won the Golden Peacock National Quality award for the year 2015. The award will be presented to DAIL at a ceremony on April 20th. The ceremony will be held in Dubai and UAE minister for culture, youth and development will give away the award. Golden Peacock National Award was founded in 1991.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Launched National Air Quality Index

06.04.2015: National Air Quality Index is launched in Agra, Ahmadabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Faridabad, Kanpur, Lucknow and Varanasi. This will help monitor the quality of air on real time basis.
