In 2007 world cup, Team India knocked out of the tourney in the first round itself. The reason was Bangladesh team. It was the same fate for Pakistan. The team was out of the tourney as it was defeated by Ireland. Ireland team even created history by defeating England team by chasing a big score. In 2003 World Cup another small team Kenya reached the semis of the tourney. These are few sensations created by smaller teams in the history of World Cup.

UAE: UAE played world cup in 1996 and after so many year qualified to play World Cup 2015. The team is being trained by Pakistan ex pacer Javed. First match in this tourney is against Zimbabwe on February 19.

Ireland: One of the strongest teams among these smaller teams is Ireland. The team reached super 8 stage in 20007 tourney and was out of the tourney in 2011 world cup. First match is against West Indies on February 16.

Afghanistan: Afghanistan is playing their first world cup. The team delivered decent performance at 2014 T20 world cup. The team is led by Md. Nab and the first match is against Bangladesh on February 18.

Scotland: Scotland participated in 1999 and 2007 world cups. The team will play its first match in World Cup 2015 against New Zealand on February 17.
