Pawan Kalyan Is The Only Consolation For Telugu Film Industry
Despite successive failure of much hyped movies, Pawan Kalyan starrer Gopala Gopala is continuously getting better reports and revenue.
Hyderabad: The gambling of movie making has not been remunerative enough for the producers and/or distributors. Last year we have seen many high expectation movies facing miserable position at the box office.
The failures list (in 2014) started with No.1 Nenokkadine (starring Mahesh Babu) coming under direction of creative director Sukumar. While the first half had hit movies like Race Gurram, Yevadu, Hrudaya Kaleyam etc., the 2nd half (post June) the Telugu Film Industry had very bad phase.
Much hyped movies like Alludu Sreenu (debut movie of Bellamkonda Srinivas son of star producer Bellamkonda Suresh) having Samantha as heroine started the flop season. Immediate followers of the movie included Rabhasa (with Jr. NTR as hero & Pranitha and Samantha acted as heroines), Aagadu (Mahesh Babu once again worked under direction of Sreenu Vytla who gave super hit like Dookudu). Govindudu Andarivadele proved to be another jolt for TFI. The mega hero Ramcharan’s movie with Kajal as heroine and Krishma Vamsee as director also released during Dasara fray could not give financial satisfaction to the stakeholders.
There were, however, certain movies which recorded good appreciation as well as collections. The list of such movies include Ra Ra Krishnayya, Manam, Power, Lowkyam, Oohalu Gusagusalade, Drushyam, Current Teega etc.
Overall, the TFI had below average performance as many big releases could not get the anticipated results at the box office.
Power star Pawan Kalyan became source of relief. The much hyped movie Gopala Gopala that came as the first release of new year is receiving good reports as well as collections. The official remake of hit Hindi movie Oh My God! Is also having victory Venkatesh in the lead role. Senior heroine Shreya is the heroine. The movie Gopala Gopala had great promotions including teaser, first look etc.
The audio launch of the GG was another grand success and got attendance from the lead stars (Venkatesh & Pawan Kalyan). The function was having predominant presence of Pawan fans and was full of appreciation for Pawan Kalyan.
The pre-release business for the movie Gopala Gopala also became a matter of relief for the producers. Clearing all the obstacles, Gopala Gopala movie came before the audience on 10th January and became instant success. As a matter of fact Pawan faced the camera after very long gap. After blockbuster hit Attarintiki Daaredi, Pawan became busy with his political activities.
After grand success of Gopala Gopala, Pawan Kalyan has lined up more movies to give increased entertainment for audience and his fans as well. We can expect quick releases of Gabbarsingh2 and another movie from the director of Gopala Gopala who got good marks from Pawan Kalyan.
