Lava listed a new tablet on its official website. The upcoming tablet is 10.1 inch tablet and is dubbed as Xtron Mega. It will be offered in black color option. Exact pricing and availability details of the device are not revealed by the company.

Mumbai: Lava Xtron Mega sports 10.1 inch display. Type of display is multi touch IPS and the resolution is 1280 x 800 pixels. It is powered by quad core Action ATM7029B processor whose clock speed is 1.3 GHz. The processor is paired with 1 GB RAM. It is provided with 16 GB internal storage and memory can be expanded up to 32 GB via micro SD. It runs on now dated Android 4.2 Jelly bean operating system. The tablet comes equipped with 2 megapixel primary camera and VGA front facing camera. The tablet supports WiFi, Bluetooth and micro USB and comes packed with 6000 mAh battery.

Lava launched 7 inch tablet in Xtron series in 2014 and the Xtron Mega is the first tablet to be launched this year. The specifications of the upcoming tablet have nothing to boast of. Most domestic manufacturers also are offering devices with Android Kitkat OS and it is a surprise that Lava still has this tablet powered by Android Jelly bean operating system. The tablet does not even support 3G connectivity. The cameras are 2 GB and VGA cameras which are only average cameras. It has to be seen how many takers will be there for this tablet. This tablet is expected to be launched soon.
