Alcatel One Touch Introduces Hero 2, Pop 2 smartphones, Hero 8 and Pop 8S Tablets at IFA 2014

Alcatel One Touch introduced new devices at ongoing IFA 2014.But there is no word on pricing details. The new devices are launched in Hero and Pop-2 series. These will be made available in select markets from September.

Berlin: Alcatel One Touch Hero 2 is one of the handset launched at IFA 2014. This comes with 6 inch display and is powered by 2 GHz octa core processor. It runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat operating system. Memory features are 2 GB RAM 16 GB internal storage and expandable storage support via micro SD card. It features 13.1 megapixel primary camera and 5 megapixel front facing camera. It supports 3G connectivity. The phablet also supports stylus.

A tablet is also launched in the Hero series dubbed as Hero 8. This comes with 8 inch display and is powered by 1.7 GHz octa core processor. The processor is paired with 2 GB RAM and it will be offered in 16, 32 and 64 GB internal storage options. The tablet runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat operating system. It supports 3G and LTE connectivity. It comes equipped with 5 megapixel camera at rear and 2 megapixel camera at front. The tablet comes packed with 4060 mAh battery.

Alcatel One Touch also launched two devices in its Pop 2 series. One is Pop 2 smartphone and the other is Pop 8S tablet. Pop 2 Smartphone will be available in two versions. One with 4.5 inch display and the other with 5 inch display. This handset will be offered in yellow, blue, purple, green and red color panels. Pop 2 smartphone will come equipped with 5 megapixel primary camera and VGA front facing camera. It supports LTE connectivity. The smartphone runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat operating system. Battery under the hood is 2000 mAh.

Alcatel One Touch Pop 8S tablet is also announced at IFA 2014 in Berlin and its will sports 8 inch display as indicated by the name. The device will come equipped with 5 or 3 megapixel primary camera. It supports LTE connectivity.

Most companies at IFA 2014 outed their devices that are powered by octa core processors. Alcatel is one of them with its Hero 8 tablet. Specifications of the devices launched in Pop series are not known.
