KTM RC200 and RC390 launched – Priced Rs. 1.6 lakhs and Rs. 2.06 lakhs to beat Honda CBR 250R and Yamaha R25

KTM is doing well in the Indian market in alliance with the Bajaj MotorCycles and all the models launched by the giants have gone successful. Duke series of two wheelers has earned its own fan base in the Indina market and the manufacturre has finally launched the RC series of premium two wheelers in India today. With the exclusive styling and features, there is no doubt in saying that the new RC 200 and RC 390 would be trend setters.

The base structure of the new RC 200 and RC 390 is inspired from the former models of the manufacturer such as Duke 200 and Duke 390. Some of the styling features were also adopted from the RC8 super bike. There are a lot of changes among Duke bikes and RC bikes which can be noticed easily at the first glance. Further, the seating position of the new RC bikes is a lot sportier when compared with that of Duke series bikes. Much lowered seating and the pulled back foot pegs makes the rider sit in bent down position similar to bike racers.

RC 200 comes powered with a 199.5 CC signle cyllinnder four stroke engine which is capable of generating around 25 PS power at the peak along with 19.2 NM of torquewhereas the RC 390 comes powered with a 373.2 CC single cyllinder four stroke engine that is capable of producing around 43.5 PS power at the peak along with 35 NM of torque. Both the variants comes with liquid cooling system and both comes mated with a 6 speed manual gear box as standard. KTM is currently selling the Duke 200 in Indian market for Rs. 1.35 lakhs only whereas the new RC 200 is going to be offered for Rs. 1.6 lakhs. KTM is offering the new RC 390 for Rs. 2.06 lakhs whereas the former Duke 390 is being sold for Rs. 1.85 lakhs only.
